GradMonk Study Abroad Session

On October 11, 2023, the ACM Student Chapter, in collaboration with GradMonk, hosted an insightful and engaging study abroad session from 10 am to 11 am in the seminar hall. The aim of this session was to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and advantages associated with studying abroad, encompassing academic programs, career prospects, and scholarships

The session commenced with Ms. Erica Prasad giving an introductory speech that highlighted the main objectives of GradMonk, which revolve around assisting students in achieving their dreams of studying abroad. She also outlined what attendees would take away from the session, setting the stage for an informative and inspiring event.

Mr. Prathamesh Gaitonde the co-founder of GradMonk stepped up as the keynote speaker of the session. He delved into the various advantages of studying abroad, which included career prospects and standard of living. He also highlighted how international degrees can lead to higher earning potential due to the quality of education and global networking opportunities. He discussed how studying abroad can lead to a higher quality of life, including access to better healthcare, infrastructure, and overall living conditions. He stressed the long-term benefits of an international education, which consisted of a more secure future and greater career opportunities.

To achieve these goals, Mr. Gaitonde explained the importance of standardized tests, such as the IELTS for English proficiency, the GRE and GMAT for admission to graduate programs, and the significance of a strong academic record
